VarTec Customer Services Rates, Terms and Conditions
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has ordered that long distance carriers, such as VarTec, cease filing their rates, terms and conditions for your domestic and international services with the FCC. This is known as detariffing. The FCC has also ordered that these carriers continue to make the rates, terms and conditions of its service offerings public by filing them on its Internet web site.

Please be assured that your long distance service will not be affected by this change, you will continue to receive VarTec's same low rates and excellent service. Click here for answers to some Frequently Asked Questions.

This web site contains the rates, terms and conditions for VarTec's state-to-state and international long distance services. It includes VarTec's Domestic and International Telecommunications Services Agreements (which governs VarTec's relationship with consumers as of August 1, 2001), and will provide the specific rates, terms and conditions which are part of the Agreement. This web site will be updated to provide customers a current record of VarTec's consumer long distance and international services and terms and conditions.

Domestic Telecommunications Services Agreement - describes the terms and conditions for domestic long distance services previously filed with the Federal Communications Commission.

International Telecommunications Services Agreement and Rate schedule - describes the rates, charges and terms and conditions for international long distance services previously filed with the Federal Communications Commission.

All price increases and other changes will be shown on the respective Domestic and/or International Telecommunications Services Agreements. Please select the appropriate document for updates.

Information Regarding Minimum Usage Fee
Customers of any and all Clear Choice Communications long distance services described will be assessed a Minimum Usage Fee, per account, in each billing cycle in which their qualifying Clear Choice Communications charges do not meet the minimum usage amount for their bill type. The Minimum Usage Fee is the difference between the minimum usage amount (i.e., $5.00 or $10.00 based on bill type) and the Customer's qualifying charges in a billing cycle. Customers billed directly by Clear Choice Communications will be assessed a Minimum Usage Fee if their qualifying charges total less than $10.00 in a billing cycle. Customers billed through their local telephone company will be assessed a Minimum Usage Fee if their qualifying charges total less than $5.00 in a billing cycle. The Minimum Usage Fee will not apply to customer accounts with no call usage in a given billing cycle when the account is assigned to a rate plan without a monthly fee or to one with only a monthly access fee, a fee which is billed only if the customer has used the service during the billing cycle.

Qualifying charges to be applied toward calculating the monthly usage minimum will be derived only from the following Clear Choice Communications charges: all long distance, calling card, toll free, operator assisted and directory assistance usage charges, Carrier Cost Recovery Fee as well as any monthly access fees or monthly recurring charges associated with the customer's rate plan.
